In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret cult.

The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Features

Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana alongside multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Mikasa attire for Naoe

Third Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery."
